The metasearch holiday accommodation tool Hundredrooms has announced today a 4 million euro investment round led by Seaya Ventures, which was also attended by Mediaset and current investors such as Inveready, Bankinter, Atresmedia and Media Digital Ventures. Since its foundation, the company has received a total of 11 million euros of funding. The company will use the investment to consolidate its international expansion in France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Germany, to strengthen product development, launch new services and maintain the leadership of the mobile application.
Hundredrooms, founded in 2014 and based in Palma de Mallorca, is a holiday accommodation aggregator that uses a search algorithm that allows the user to compare prices for the same accommodation published in different reservation websites in a single search. Its technology compares prices of nearly 7 million homes and apartments from partners like Airbnb, House Trip, Homeaway and Booking.com, among others. The company has increased its team of workers to 60, 40 of them are responsible for technology and product.
Hundredrooms has developed new functionalities that allow users to save between 25% and 35% in the final price of the accommodation. The prediction algorithm developed by Hundredrooms allows a unique property ordering based in the generated content, positive ratings and price ranges.
