Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies is a French industrial company listed on Euronext Growth Paris (ALHGR) that has driven a radical reinvention of cement manufacturing. Founded on the conviction that one of the world’s most polluting industries could be transformed, Hoffmann Green has developed the only commercially available 0% clinker cement, certified by the most demanding international technical bodies.
With two operating plants and a third planned in the Rhône-Alpes region, Hoffmann Green aims to reach a total capacity of approximately one million tonnes per year by 2027–2028, with international expansion into the United Kingdom, Belgium, Switzerland and the United States.
Sustainability model
Hoffmann Green’s cold manufacturing process — without a kiln, without clinker — uses industrial by-products such as blast-furnace slag, activated clay and gypsum, consuming between 10 and 15 times less energy than a conventional cement plant.
In 2022, the company expanded its fleet of solar trackers at the Bournezeau plant (Vendée, France) from 3 to 12 units, directly powering its operations with clean energy, and received L’Usine Nouvelle’s CSR Factory Trophy. Each tonne of Hoffmann cement avoids the emission of approximately 700 kg of CO₂ compared to traditional Portland cement.
SDG alignment
-
Affordable and clean energy
Reducing dependence on fossil fuels through solar self-consumption (12 trackers in Bournezeau) and the purchase of green electricity for the entire operation.
-
Industry, innovation and infrastructure
A vertical, low-energy 4.0 cement plant, designed from the ground up to be replicated internationally, with CSTB ATEc (France) and ASTM C1157 (US/Saudi Arabia) certifications.
-
Climate action
Each tonne of Hoffmann Green cement avoids approximately 700 kg of CO₂ compared to Portland cement, with a portfolio of avoided carbon credits.
"Our solar trackers are not a communications accessory: they reflect exactly who we are, a company that produces cleanly, from start to finish."
— Julien Blanchard, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board, Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies
