Inveready and Abacus Cooperativa launch Abacus Ventures, an acceleration program for startups in the education sector

Barcelona, Thursday, March 9, 2023 

Inveready and Abacus Cooperativa joined forces to launch Abacus Ventures, a new startup acceleration program aimed at entrepreneurs linked to the educational technology sector in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, and the Valencian Community. This joint initiative by the cooperative and the venture capital manager, which also involves the participation of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, and Tech Barcelona, will last for 5 months and offer up to €150,000 in equity funding for each of the three selected startups, along with business support through auxiliary services. 

Following a Pitch Day, three winning startups will be chosen, each having the opportunity to conduct a pilot project with Abacus Cooperativa. They may also potentially become strategic partners or integrate into one of the company’s departments. Additionally, they will be eligible for up to €150,000 in equity funding from program partners, along with access to auxiliary business services such as commercial services (communication, branding, marketing…), legal advice, CFO-as-a-service, and others.
